Buyers are looking for attractive locations, larger sizes and access to terraces or gardens

Well-located properties of a high standard proved to be particularly resistant to market fluctuations caused by the pandemic. Interest was shown not only by investors who treat this segment as a good capital investment, but also by clients who are looking for larger floor areas for themselves. The pandemic has clearly changed the preferences of buyers: access to greenery and natural light as well as one’s own balcony or terrace have become more important. The resilience of the premium market is shown, among other things, by KPMG’s data on the luxury real estate segment. The record was set in the United States, where in the third quarter of last year, sales of premium real estate increased by more than 60 percent.
