On 21 November, during this year’s formal gala of the 10th anniversary of the Rynek Pierwotny website at the Westin Warszawa hotel, our flagship project Angel Wawel was awarded the Investment of a Decade prize in the prestigious competition that crowned the website’s anniversary celebrations. As Angel Poland Group, in the last quarter we also won the individual Engineer of the Year award for Angel River in Wrocław, awarded by the Lower Silesian Regional Chamber of Civil Engineers, and the title of Best Luxury Real Estate Company – Poland awarded by the UK magazine BUILD.

RynekPierwotny.pl is the biggest Polish platform bringing together the offers of developer companies from all over the country. This year it celebrates its decade on the market. Awarded as the investment of the decade, Angel Wawel is a comprehensive revitalisation of a 16th century, historical, former monastery of the Colettine sisters. It is one of the first projects of this scale in Kraków, aimed at converting historical buildings for residential purposes while preserving their heritage.

The polychromy and painting decorations by Jan Bukowski were preserved intact in a chapel dating back to 1882. The building is located in the historical centre of Kraków, at the foot of Wawel Hill, just over the Vistula River. The building renovation was conducted in cooperation with the Małopolskie Province Conservator of Monuments.

Angel Wawel has one of the most extensive fitness zones and a Spa with a swimming pool in an upscale residential project in Poland. The residents have at their disposal a wine cellar, patio with a garden, residence lounge, library, cinema room, private garage, games room, café bar, and a kids’ corner. The complex provides round the clock monitoring and Concierge service

The architectural design was prepared by the Paris-based Gottesman Szmelcman Architecture studio in cooperation with the ABP studio in Kraków, with Eiffage Polska Budownictwo taking the role of the general contractor.

In September 2019 we also won the individual Engineer of the Year award in the Site Manager category, awarded to Ewa Kruszyna, engineer, for the development of Angel River.

“It is a very valuable recognition, as the jury of the competition analyses the submissions and the buildings developed by the candidates not only in terms of their complexity, building size or architecture, but primarily for the quality of execution” says Natalia Sawicka – Sales and Marketing Director – West.

As Angel Poland Group, in November 2019 we were also awarded the title of Best Luxury Real Estate Company – Poland in the Real Estate and Property Awards competition organised by the UK magazine, BUILD.

Currently Angel Poland Group is developing two projects. The first one is Angel Stradom, rising in the very heart of Kraków at the foot of Wawel Hill. It will encompass a premium apartment building and a luxury five star hotel. Some of the apartments will offer a unique view of the historical Wawel Hills and magnificent gardens. The other project is Angel City in Wrocław, which is being developed in Przedmieście Oławskie.
