A milestone in the Angel River project
This is a breakthrough moment for the Angel River investment project – the construction work in one of the most anticipated undertakings in the Oławskie Suburb has just ‘got off the ground’, with all the underground facilities having been completed. The building process is scheduled to be finished in the third quarter of 2018.
The construction of Angel River, an investment project being pursued in Wroclaw at Walońska Street, began in August 2016. The first stage of the building process, which covered the underground part of the building including a 3-storey underground garage, has just been completed.
“Our vision is becoming a reality,” says Ron Ben Shahar, Angel Poland Group partner and Angel River investor. “There is no other investment project in Wroclaw that combines the proximity to the very centre of Wroclaw with the possibility of direct contact with nature, without the hustle and bustle so typical of city centres.”
Angel River is another prestigious investment project of the Angel Poland Group in Wroclaw – after OVO Wroclaw, The Granary Hotel and Angel Care. The general contractor is Karmar S.A., which has carried out such projects as Rezydencja Foksal and Grzybowska 43 in Warsaw or the Silver Tower Center in Wroclaw.

Construction has just ‘got off the ground’
Angel River is ‘rising from the ground’; the first of the two buildings is to reach the height of nine floors and the second one – seventeen floors. “As part of the project 18 overground storeys and as many as 3 basement levels will be built and more than 350 employees will be working on the site. The next few weeks will be marked by intense reinforced concrete works related to adding more floors to the building. The installation of sanitary and electrical systems in the garage part will begin independently and the work is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2018,” says Sebastian Bieńkowski, the technical manager of Angel River.
The architectural design of Angel River has been prepared by the Maćków design studio, on the basis of the concept developed by Gottesman Szmelcman Architecture. It opens up to the neighbouring Oława River and uses its assets to the maximum extent possible.
“The green courtyard faces the waterfront, being its extension. Just like the two wings of the building, which get lower in a cascading manner in that direction. In addition, the development of the space around the investment site assumes that the place will be accessible to all Wroclaw residents. Angel River is reclaiming, so to speak, the Oława River for urban life,” says Zbigniew Maćków, the designer of Angel River.
The Angel Poland Group is actively involved in the process of revitalising the Oławskie Suburb pursued by the city. A public boulevard will be built, which will be an integral part of the scenic walking and leisure route led along the river. The investor will also redevelop and modernise the intersection of Traugutta and Miernicza Streets. “We are delighted that our project will contribute to the change and development of another quarter in Lower Silesia’s capital,” says Ron Ben Shahar.
Demand for high quality
In total, Angel River will have 341 high-quality apartments with an area from 24 to 118 m2 – from studio apartments to five-room suites of above-average height (ca. 3 meters). They will have terraces, balconies or loggias, with an area of several to several dozen square meters. The project provides for a number of amenities for the residents, including a fitness zone with saunas and spas, an elegant lobby with a meeting area for the residents, a children's playroom, a parking area in the underground garage for guests or a charging station for electric vehicles.
“Premium real estate is becoming increasingly popular in Wroclaw, which is evidenced by the interest expressed in our investment. Over 65% of the apartments have already found their owners, which is a very good result at this stage of the construction process,” concludes Ron Ben Shahar.
